R.W. LaPine Inc. teamed up with the Austin Company on this eight story pharmaceutical research building. R.W. LaPine Inc. was responsible for over half the mechanical on this project. Construction consisted of stainless steel exhaust riser ducts, HVAC systems on the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th floors, plumbing on a number of floors along with medical gases. R.W. LaPine Inc. employed 46 sheet metal workers and 48 pipefitters/welders on this project. The project was completed considerably ahead of schedule.

Cooling Tower Condensing Water

R.W. LaPine Inc. provided mechanical services for Pfizer’s new chilled water plant that consisted of large fiberglass cooling tower water piping and carbon steel chilled water supply and return piping. Extreme care had to be taken in the installation of the piping due to limited space available.
