SAFETY & HEALTH POLICY
Safety is everyone’s responsibility. It is the desire of R.W. LaPine, Inc. to help provide a safe working environment for all employees.
To accomplish this, management will provide reasonable safeguards to help insure safe working conditions and support the safe and efficient development of all work activities.
The need also exists for recognizing that no job is so important and no order is so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely.
The joint cooperation of employees and management in observance of the policy will help provide safe working conditions, help reduce work-related accidents and
will be to the mutual advantage of all.

SAFETY RECORD
Safety is measured in many different ways. One particular method is to review a companies Experience Modification Rate (EMR) to evaluate how a company stands in comparison to the construction community.
R.W. LaPine, Inc.’s EMR is consistently below 1.0 the industry average. This is due to our low number of claims and the lack of severity of our claims. Our 2013 EMR is .54.
During the Pfizer Building 300 renovation project, over 300,000 man hours were worked with R.W. LaPine not having a single recordable injury.
SAFETY PERFORMANCE
R.W. LaPine, Inc. has Safety Professionals on staff dedicated to preventing jobsite incidents and spreading safety awareness. Our employees go through a magnitude of safety training along with equipment operator training.
Prior to starting a project, we involve our supervisors and safety personnel in Pre-Task Safety Planning as means of eliminating or controlling potential job-site safety hazards.
